Brooklyn Public House: Moar Burgers N Fries

If you couldn't tell by the banner, I really really enjoy burgers. In the wee hours of the night, there are not many places open, and having the messed up sleep schedule most students have, I was starving at midnight. Luckily for me, the Brooklyn Public House is not far from Pratt.

As one would expect, the Brooklyn Pub has a decent selection of bar food. Some personal favorites would be the calamari, the cheese fries, and of course, the cheeseburger.

The image above is an example of a really bad photo, taken with a really bad camera, in very bad lighting conditions. The pub is sort of hidden away, under the brightness of the neighboring deli. There isn't much signage or exterior lighting aside from the hanging Christmas lights. Even the entrance is small, the door is like 2 feet wide. I'm pretty sure it's not wheel chair accessible.

The interior is actually pretty large. Past the bar, are a series of tables and booths. The ambiance of the place is really cheerful and inviting. I've come here with a few friends before and it's a really nice place to eat, chat, and drink. I imagine that it's a bit more uncomfortable with larger groups.

Here's a shot of the bar.

The burger came with a huge mound of fries, two onion rings, tomatoes, onions, and lettuce placed on the side. I imagine I was suppose to put the onion rings on my burger, but my hunger got the better of me before I could figure it out. The bottom bun was pretty thin, and was sorta soggy. The burger was pretty thick, about a 1/3 lb beef patty. I got it with some bacon, for an extra 1.50. I ordered the beef medium, but I got more of a rare. Since I got it as takeout, I was able to throw the patty in the toaster oven for a minute, but had I been sitting there I definitely would have sent it back. That being said, everything was still delicious, including the fries which were actually crispy. This ran me $15 comparable to Burger 67 prices, but I wouldn't expect anything less of pub food at that hour.
